4019 Sweater and Cardigan for Babies
WEB EXCLUSIVE

Our first Aran was a baby garment very like these, and it is an ideal way to start. The process is magical-- and because the yarn is thick and the size small, you astonish yourself quickly. These are true classics of their kind, traditional in scale and recommended ease (2" or 5cm, which many would consider a close fit today). The sweater has a buttoned back placket for easier donning and doffing. British, of course. Original yarn is no longer available, but Life Aran (25% wool) or Wondersoft Aran (100% acrylic) should give fine results. Gauge given over broken rib pattern.
