Jil Eaton

for Jil Eaton/ Minnowknits   c.2001

Sunflower

Just about the sweetest, dearest, simplest little summer sundress (or winter jumper) imaginable. It's a dapper little double-breasted affair, creating a crossover V effect with two buttons for embellishment: one is functional with its own buttonhole, the other just for balance. The skirt is knitted in the round, then split for the back and fronts. Shoulders are cast off together, which minimizes finishing. Original yarn unknown; Eaton recommends her super soft MinnowMerino for this design.
