Kristin Nicholas,
Norah Gaughan

for Classic Elite Yarns   1993

442 The Journey to Rainbow Creek
WEB EXCLUSIVE

Nicholas's lush pullover and cardi here are all tri-colour moss stitch-- easy to do (if a wee bit tangly), and a handsome, handsome fabric (first gauge given). For these, pockets are real; sleeves are drop, and the only shaping is at the front neck. Gaughan's extravaganza of a vest has a great deal more detail. Her back neck is shaped, armholes are well cut, and the patterning throughout is an incredible mix of twist stitches, bobbles, yo's, and stitches worked together (happily graphed). Paisley can be replaced with Renaissance or Summer Set or some other lovely CE yarn-- but get gauge.
