Michele Rose (Orne)

for Classic Elite Yarns   1990

314 Inverary Cardigan
WEB EXCLUSIVE

Classic elements run through this cardigan. Seed stitch? Check. Cables (yea, even unto the hem and cuffs)? Check. Argyle patterning (with the harder diagonal parts done in duplicate stitch)? Check. As a relaxed, drop-shouldered but polished piece, it suits all sportswear-- literally, taking the place of a suit jacket. The original yarn was a rayon blend and is no longer around, but try it today in Portland Tweed or Summer Set for similar drape and gloss. The duplicate stitch is not charted, but counting it yourself and working it on top of the intarsia diamonds shouldn't be difficult.
