La Dame Blanche
Worked in the amazing natural yarn from The Ross Farm, this shawl evokes the rustic elegance of the Outlander series. Specifically the name is a reference to the pseudonym the protagonist receives during the French portion of the story.
While holding only one yarn at a time, this shawl is Mosaic Lace -- a fusion of slip stitch color-work and lace techniques. There is no yarn management of a carried yarn (except up the side), only knitting stripes and slipping stitches.
The shawl is cast on at a tip and worked in ever increasing rows to a long bind-off trim. One could easily expand the size by adding repeats (and yarn). The stitches include basic lace increases and decreases as well as strategically placed double decreases.
