N 1142 Mohair Cable Sweater

A dramatic cable is the focal point of this mohair sweater. The use of two colours emphasizes the twist of the cable. The front is worked using the intarsia method: one bobbin for each half of the center cable, and a bobbin for each outer section. To prepare, wind 3 bobbins in MC and one bobbin in CC. When changing from one bobbin to the next, bring new one up from underneath old one, twisting the strands on the WS of work. Two delicate lace panels flank both sides of the cable softening the look.

The rest of the sweater is knit in stocking stitch with ribbing at the hem and cuff. The neckline is created by picking up stitches and knitting then casting off.
