UKHKA 160 Aran Cushion and Blanket

Amid a recent collection containing lots of gems for beginners, the UKHKA introduces these breathtaking pieces for knitters who are a little more confident in their skills. The bobbles appear only at the edges-- and cleverly, the designer has you 'insert a 10mm knitting needle (or finger) from one side through the centre of the bobble to stretch the rows slightly. Give it a quarter turn sideways to form the “buttonloop”'-- brilliant. If you can M1 and P3tog occasionally, then these beautiful adornments for the home can be yours.

From the publisher: "The main aim of the UK Hand Knitting Association (UKHKA) is to raise the profile of hand knitting. It does this through 'Learn to Knit' classes held throughout the UK, 'Relax and Knit' stands at all the principal UK Knitting and Sewing shows, and by the introduction of National Competitions showcased at the Knitting and Sewing shows." To this end, no specific yarn is recommended-- just choose the appropriate weight of something you like and make sure you meet the gauge requirements.
