UKHKA 164 Hat, Cowl, and Fair Isle Neck Warmer

We are especially delighted to see the 'neck warmer' in this fine collection, because they are popular and comparatively easy to knit when done in the round, and THIS ONE IS! (Rare for a British company's design.) Its magnificent good looks stand alone, or ride happily under a large coat for extra warmth. The cabled cowl can, of course, be knit to a length that suits you before sewing the ends together. The hat is knit flat and seamed too. This is a versatile, handsome collection that serves both men and women admirably.

From the publisher: "The main aim of the UK Hand Knitting Association (UKHKA) is to raise the profile of hand knitting. It does this through 'Learn to Knit' classes held throughout the UK, 'Relax and Knit' stands at all the principal UK Knitting and Sewing shows, and by the introduction of National Competitions showcased at the Knitting and Sewing shows." To this end, no specific yarn is recommended-- just choose the appropriate weight of something you like and make sure you meet the gauge requirements.
