UKHKA 163 Crochet Dress and Angel Top (ages 1 - 2)
These are some of the prettiest, daintiest crochet pieces we have on the whole site, and they're not hard to make, either. The dress is done all in pieces (even the skirt is made with a front and a back) and then joined together. Both garments have three buttons running from the back of the neck down to the mid-back. British crochet terminology.
From the publisher: "The main aim of the UK Hand Knitting Association (UKHKA) is to raise the profile of hand knitting. It does this through 'Learn to Knit' classes held throughout the UK, 'Relax and Knit' stands at all the principal UK Knitting and Sewing shows, and by the introduction of National Competitions showcased at the Knitting and Sewing shows." To this end, no specific yarn is recommended-- just choose the appropriate weight of something you like and make sure you meet the gauge requirements.
