Julie Hoff (Weisenberger)

for Classic Elite Yarns   1992

397 Before the Fall
WEB EXCLUSIVE

This iconic pattern is one of the most sought-after in the Classic Elite canon. It is an exemplar of intarsia with a universally appealing theme. Drop-shouldered, all lines are straight except for the front neck. There is a German Herringbone pattern at the collar and hem, and a little fair isle work above that: then you launch into the charts-- clearly reprinted here, though they will benefit from a little enlarging and taping together. All numbers are charted for working the year. Errata (current at March 2009) for the herringbone pattern is included on the last page. Get your LYS to help you with the Inca colours-- Caravan 2 ply is long gone, but only one hank each of two colours was called for; use the photo and chart keys as your guide. File is very large (9.61MB) and may take some time to download.
