A wrap cardigan, especially in a versatile DK weight, is a tremendous canvas on which to experiment and express emotion. Here we have a lovely trefoil lace pattern, very ancient-looking to the eye, that makes a distinctive, dainty fabric. The lace pattern is only 12 rows, with every other one purled, so there's really not much to it. The front edging is terribly simple: two rows of garter stitch. The ties to close the cardi are likewise garter. Armholes are beautifully shaped, sleeve caps high, and overall tailoring impeccable. Negative ease recommended; be warned.
