Kukka
WEB EXCLUSIVE
"A bold, long tabard with an exaggerated asymmetrical peplum looks great over long underpinnings," says Berroco. "Wear this top two ways. As shown in the secondary photo, and as originally planned, the 'ties' are threaded through a metal ring to give the impression of being tied without the bulk. We discovered that Kukka also looks great (and is amazingly flattering) with the ties hanging free so that’s how it’s shown in the main photo." We are sold. This is a comparatively easy piece to knit, largely done in a garter stitch variation where you change needle sizes every other row. It's gently tapered in at the waist, then out again, on both the front and back. The back is 21" - 23" inches long, depending on your size.
Shown with Asta hat and Jatta bag.
This design is from Norah Gaughan Vol. 1, published by Berroco.
