Robyn Gallimore

for Red Bird Knits   2009

"Waves of twisted stitches flow gently from the Wave Lace Cuff," reports Gallimore. "Easy and lovely in a nearly solid yarn." She brings a gift to her work of translating inspiration into reality: the undulating qualities of the stitches, combined with the subtly variegated colourway, really invoke a passing stream or current. The cuff is knit flat, then joined into a round, where stitches are picked up from it and worked downwards. This is Gallimore's Sock of the Month for February 2009. Subscribers to the club get the kit; otherwise this pattern is exclusive to Patternfish. This sock is also part of a lace sock collection, available here.
