111b Lyre, Lyre
It’s a toy, it’s a pillow, it’s a stage prop, it’s a stringed instrument in more ways than one! What is it? It’s Lyre, Lyre, a huggable soft-sculpture knitted harp, second in a series of harp-shaped pillows, after Song of Avalon. Make it for yourself or for your favorite musician. Note: Does not actually play music.
Skills: Knit, purl, intarsia, simple embroidery, attached I-cord.
Notes: Gauge is not critical. For different size lyres, use any yarn and needles a little smaller than usual for that yarn so stitches are tight enough to keep stuffing from showing.
