002 Pixie Hoodie

Simple, modern, unfussy knits are my passion for babies and toddlers. This unisex hoodie was designed to keep a little one cosy as either a jacket or cardigan depending on the season. The mismatched buttons are a fun addition but matching buttons can be used if preferred.
It's knit from the bottom back up to the shoulders where the stitches are split and each front knitted downwards separately to the hem. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the shoulder and then knitted downwards before sewing the side and underarm seams. The hood stitches are picked up around the neckline and when finished can be cast off using a 3 needle bind off or seaming. Finally stitches are picked up along the fronts and hood edges for the trim.
