Emily Ringelman

for Emily Ringelman    2015

Take your love of Star Wars to the next level with your own knitted lightsaber. The blade is simply a long tube with one closed end. The hilt has raised grip welts at the bottom for all those hectic Jedi battles. There are instructions in the pattern to make the hilt and blade detachable, for ease in carrying the hilt around on your belt.

Notes: For the button panel, you can either use craft felt to make the panel and buttons, or you can use felt for the panel and actual buttons for the buttons, or you can knit the panel and use actual buttons for the buttons. You will only need felt in the blade color if you are making a detachable lightsaber.
