To our publishers and customers

[June 16, 2019] The site has now stopped selling patterns.

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 16 June, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

DS-SH-02 Soho Cables Dog Sweater

Classic and chic. Cables everywhere, a ribbed chest, double-buttoned chest band and button closure at ribbed neck make the sweater easy to put on and take off.

My PBGV Clinger needed a sweater with good chest coverage as she had short legs. To make shaping easier I started at the neck. I came up with an unconventional design using a circular needle. I purposely did not look at other dog sweater patterns, I wanted to create something original. I started knitting, increased, knit some more, put stitches on holders, knit the rest, flipped the sweater around and put the held stitches together, added stitches for a chest band. The result was a custom-fit dog sweater in one piece with no seams. I then designed variations using cables and other textures. Because we lived in Soho, NYC I named this style Soho Cables.
