Log Cabin Beret and Scarf
We look forward particularly to seeing Powell's work, because (like so many of our favorite programmers) she does not know that there is a box outside of which to think. So here we do indeed have a log cabin square as the basis of a hat, and a dramatic one it is; slightly felted (begging some elastic to assist in holding the 'ribbing' close to the head), and commodious enough to hold a lifetime of hair. The scarf works for either men or women. We have difficulty imagining a man who would wear the hat, but would like to meet him if he exists. There are helpful photos and pictures throughout this detailed pattern. The only sewing is the pockets to the scarf.
