Diane Soucy

for Knitting Pure and Simple

1501 Lightweight Baby Tunic (birth - 18m)
WEB EXCLUSIVE

"This is a lighter weight version of one of my most popular baby sweaters," says Soucy. "Worked in fingering weight yarn, it is knit from the top down seamlessly. A front placket with a button makes it easier to dress that wiggly baby. Gauge is 26 sts to 4 inches, and sizes are newborn to 18 months."

The sockweight/fingering yarn is worked at a slightly more relaxed tension than usual, resulting in a drapier, more comfortable fabric for the little ones. You will need 425, 451, 572, 615 yards (388, 413, 523, 563 metres) for the newborn, 6m, 12m, and 18m sizes.
