for Universal Yarn   2015

BPA6 Drape Front Cardi

We think this is magnificent-- a fantastic use of a yarn with some colour interest. The shape is universally appealing and versatile, and will never date or stale. It is worked throughout with a full linen stitch (slipped stitches on both sides of the fabric), which in this 50% bamboo 50% cotton yarn drapes superbly. It's worked top down, in pieces, and then seamed. The solid colour edges are worked in st st, and therefore have a slight roll; you could work a non-curling stitch (garter, moss, whatever) if you prefer. This is an easy piece to knit, which nevertheless is very sophisticated in tone.

This design is from the Spring 2015 Universal Yarn eBook Bamboo Pop Adult: 10 Garments & Accessories to Knit and Crochet. A kids' book, Bamboo Pop Kids for ages 1 - 12, is available by clicking on the title.
