JB185 Sweater (age 10 up)
This wonderful sweater manages to be a feast of texture (and colour, in the Marble Chunky) while remaining fairly easy to knit. You'll notice that the sleeves are worked in a textured knit/purl pattern different from the front-- this same sleeve pattern is repeated on the back, so only the front sports the cable panel patterning. The raglan sleeve caps are so shaped that they land up looking like a curious hybrid of raglan and set-in; it's a sleek look, streamlined, almost avant-garde, slimming in the verticality. This is a handsome, unusual sweater with a lot of easy interest.
