003 Lace Butterfly Masquerade Mask - Crochet

This beautiful lace crochet mask pattern is easier than it looks! It begins from the center with the construction of eye holes; then is worked in rounds using simple chains and spacing, finished off with delicate picot stitches.

The pattern is easy to understand, written in standard crochet terms, includes a photo tutorial, and includes a symbolic chart!

“In ancient Greek, butterfly is “Psyche”, which translated means “soul”. This was also the name for Eros’ human lover and when the two figures are depicted they are often surrounded by butterflies.”
