Middle Beach Scarf

Middle Beach in Kennebunk, Maine, is one of my favorite places for listening to the ocean. The stitch pattern in this scarf reminds me of the waves as they crash over the rocks.

This scarf is knit with a simple combination of knit and purl stitches, creating a reversible fabric. Two sets of buttons increase the number of ways you can wear the scarf. Use the first set of buttons to wear your scarf as a cowl, revealing one side of the pattern. Use the second set to wear the scarf as a wrap around your shoulders, revealing the other side.

This pattern includes a cheat sheet that you can use to keep track of your progress.
