Diamond Star Hat Too!
WEB EXCLUSIVE

Renowned teacher Mason-Jamieson excels at this: a small project on which to learn wonderful new techniques. "This fun hat," she explains, "uses modular knitting methods popularized by Horst Schulz to shape the crown. It's fun to make and fun to wear. The diamonds gather into a star at the top of the crown for added interest." She adds that the skill level is 'Adventurous Intermediate'; it is worked partly circular, partly back-and-forth. Made in a very common weight (DK or 8 ply), it's ideal for using up small quantities of colours, and has the added advantage of looking smashing.
