To our publishers and customers

[June 16, 2019] The site has now stopped selling patterns.

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 16 June, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

Fisherwoman Socks

Fisherwoman Socks are knit from the top down on two circular needles and combine Tiny Scales Stitch with Fish Scale Lace to make a hearty but feminine sock for girls who like to fish, girls who like fish, and girls who like cool hand knit socks.
The inspiration for these socks was my friend, Jean, who is a fisherwoman and a talented potter. I made these socks for her several years ago with just the Fish Scale Lace panel. I wasn’t inspired to write up the pattern until I combined it with The Tiny Scales Stitch. I love the way these two stitch patterns compliment each other.
