To our publishers and customers

[June 16, 2019] The site has now stopped selling patterns.

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 16 June, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

Jean's Irish Hat

This is my take on a hat that my infamous mother-in-law, Jean, bought in Ireland over 20 years ago. She handed me the hat and asked if I could make it for her and, of course, she wanted a few changes. I liked the hat and thought it would be a fun project to take it apart and figure out a pattern. I've updated it and made it with two different versions for the brim. The skinny brim version is so current while the wider brim takes on a Downton Abbey feel. I'm amazed that adding an inch to the brim could change the style of the hat so much!

Jean has matching mitts.
