To our publishers and customers

[June 16, 2019] The site has now stopped selling patterns.

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 16 June, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

7901 Ikat Blocks Cowl
WEB EXCLUSIVE

"Our Ikat-dyed yarn works up beautifully in a deceptively simple cowl," reports Bryant. "Yes, you have it right— the blocks of color come from the dyeing itself, and although the knitter has to manipulate the colors a bit, doing so is not difficult. Once you have established the blocks, the knitting is fun and addictive. Imagine the possibilities! Shown in Ikat Dune Madison." Always a pioneer, Bryant has developed this exciting new way to use her Ikat dyes-- where everything depends on the length of the colour repeat. Once you've established that with your own gauge, the knitting is easy, but the effect monumental. And of course the piece is completely reversible. Note that your gauge may vary slightly, and that this effect depends on your using the Ikat dyed versions of these yarns. This approach is explored in detail in Bryant's latest superb book, Artful Color, Mindful Knits.
