To our publishers and customers

[June 16, 2019] The site has now stopped selling patterns.

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 16 June, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

Kristin Nicholas

for Classic Elite Yarns   1988

240 Short Sleeve Pullover with Cable at Bottom

Twenty years ago the recommended ease for this charming top was about 6". If you allow a little less, it would stand up very well today. Nicholas has always understood the drama behind cables, and stresses their directionality here in two ways: by offsetting them in a perpendicular way, and choosing to use a very simple one in a limited way. The result is surprisingly feminine-- especially with the 2 x 2 rib at the hem managing to look like a ruffle. Arizona is no longer available, but Classic Elite's Four Seasons should substitute very well.
