Barbara Gregory

These gorgeous pieces look like they've been fashioned from semi-precious stones by ancient artisans. But Gregory's skill and knitterly concern for the maker means they're far easier than they look. In mosaic knitting, only one colour is ever used per round, so there's no worry about maintaining tension. She shows you in photographs what values you'll need in terms of light and dark (see our data pages), and uses very commonly-available weights of sock or baby yarns. A prize of a pattern that's detailed, distinctive, and stunning.
