001 Colum - Man's Rib Sweater

Worked in 2x2 rib on US size 7 (4.5mm) needles and using aran-weight yarn, the sweater grows quickly, and the rib stitch creates plenty of elasticity, resulting in an easy-to-wear sweater that moulds itself to the body.

The pattern features 2" negative ease in each size, so you can get a close fitting look to show off those toned muscles. You might even decide to go down a size and get 4" negative ease for a very body defining look.

The pattern is worked flat in four pieces, and the sleeves are gently curved at the top, where they fit in to the modified drop shoulder.
The relaxed round neck that finishes this sweater is easy to slip on and off.

Jane's aim was to make a guy-friendly sweater that's straightforward to knit and looks great on.

(And she achieved it--ed.)
