01-2014 27 Knots

27 Knots are DK weight boot socks. I liked the cable because it looked kind of like it was blowing away… so I thought of the Beaufort Wind Scale. It’s measured in nautical m/p/h. They call them…knots! 27 Knots would be Gale Force, which could certainly blow away a cable. So there is the complicated story of the sock name. They are a quick knit in Sweet Fiber Merino Twist DK.
