Grecian Elegance

Feminine, stylish & flattering are just a few words that describe "Grecian Elegance".

With cable & eyelet details complimenting the simple St st body, "Grecian Elegance" is a beautiful example of less being more. Adding to the elegance of the design is the use of a 100% sugar cane viscose yarn. The shine and drape of the resulting fabric creates a softly flowing garment. A single button at the back neck secures the simple jewel neckline.

Even though the design is simple, it's not a boring knit. The sleeves & yoke are worked sideways in one piece, using a combination of in-the-round and flat knitting. The body is worked from the yoke to the hem allowing the knitter to determine the overall length.

This design was originally published in the Spring 2012 Love of Knitting, and has been updated for both written style and to include a chart for the cable/eyelet detail.
