To our publishers and customers

[June 16, 2019] The site has now stopped selling patterns.

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 16 June, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

Emily Wessel

for Tin Can Knits   2011

gramps

We think it’s hilarious how babies sometimes look like old geezers - so we created this shawl-collared grandpa sweater for your grouchy little old man! Suit him or her up and no matter how grumpy, your child will be stylish. And YES, despite reasonable common-sense notions, babies DO require pockets to store their tiny little pipes, and patches to prevent them from wearing holes through the elbows of their cardigans after years of use!

(Wessel adds: "The jacket is a seamless design, knit from the neck down. After the body and arms are complete, the button band and collar are worked. Pockets and patches are added last. Sweater body is worked in stockinette stitch."

Pattern is for the cardigan only. Hat pattern is found at
Hunter

This design, as well as 8 others, is available for $13.00 (U.S.) at
9 months of knitting
