Kristin Nicholas

for Classic Elite Yarns   1998

801 To Knit for the Sun

These extraordinary garments represent the very best of Nicholas's talent-- turned up to 11. To a knowledgeable knitter they are as distinctive as a Van Gogh. Vivid and intricate, joyful and intriguing, they incorporate stunning ethnic motifs as well as the cablework and embroidered embellishment so dear to the designer. Her colour sense is uniquely expressive. Lines are all straight except for the front necks; any tailoring would be 'adding a perfume to the rose'. Tapestry is no longer available, but Classic Elite's Renaissance-- with its tremendous shade range-- should substitute very well.
