M5052 Long Sleeve Lace Shrug
WEB EXCLUSIVE

For many discerning knitters, spring means lace. And with this lovely shrug, Meadows gratifies that longing impeccably. You make the elaborate cuff first in a strip, then pick up from its edge and work up in the 4 row lace pattern. This is not for beginners, as there is some lace activity on many rows, including the WS, of the cuff. But the cuffs are the only bits that really demand attention, and the overall lace pattern is only 4 rows with just knitting and purling on the WS. You work two identical arms and then graft the backs together using Kitchener stitch. A delicate crochet edging finishes the neck and underback (American crochet terminology). One skein of the Nuna Fina is sufficient for a sleeve in either size, so you only need two, and you'll have minimal ends to weave in.
