Diane Soucy

for Knitting Pure and Simple   2014

1402 Top Down Lightweight T Shirt
WEB EXCLUSIVE

Says Soucy: "This is a summer top that you will wear often! Fun and inexpensive to knit using fingering weight yarn at a gauge of 24 stitches to 4 inches. At that loose gauge, it won’t take forever, either. Would look great in cotton, silk, bamboo, or a blend. Scoop neck with a simple rib for edging, and optional waist shaping. Finished measurements 30 to 50 inches."

This design is one of those invaluable basics that you will knit over and over again for years, in whatever the 'hot' (as it were) yarn or colour is for the current season.

Soucy offers a very detailed, illustrated knit-along guide to her top-down sweaters here.
