621 The Moors at Ros Castle

These are elemental pieces, basic and rugged. They stand almost apart from fashion in the same way that leather jackets and Levi's do; "the dogs bark, but the caravan passes on"-- same here. The stitch patterning is extremely simple and the shaping is of a piece with it. The pullover has slightly cut-in armholes and a tiny bit of shaping to what is really a flat sleeve cap; otherwise, all lines are straight and even. While Mackenzie and Kelso Tweed are no longer available, La Gran Mohair and Montera will work up fine if you're careful about your gauge (tension).
