for fingertips 2013
Thick and warm socklets to keep your feet toasty. The stitch pattern is reminiscent of the distinct pinnate leaves of the Rowan tree. Rowan trees display the most vibrant autumn colours, and the name Rowan is thought to come from the proto-Germanic word raudnian, which means “getting red”. What better name for a pair of socklets that will keep you warm on those chilly autumn evenings!
The pattern is part written, part charted - you will need to be able to work with both styles.
(It is a measure of Mora's attentiveness to the needs of the knitter that she includes separate charts for each size and a key to the chart on each page--ed.)
All fingertips patterns have been test knitted thoroughly.
