FW1998-5 Raglan Pullover
Yes, this impeccable design was released in 1998. But it could just as easily have been 2015, and could just as easily be in 2025 as far as we're concerned. We can find no time-fault within it; it is just a superb basic. It has waist shaping and stunningly full-fashioned raglan sleeves. Back and front are the same. To our mind, this is a perfect sleeve length. And it's very quick to knit at a gauge of 10 sts to 4"/10cm. You will want to use the best-quality yarn you can find, of course; but that can be any style of yarn at all-- tweed, marl, heather, variegate, kettle-dyed, whatever-- they'll all work. Knit flat, but the neck is finished in the round.
The original yarn was a soft bulky weight 100% wool, 38yds/35mts to 50g, 10 sts and 13 rows to 4"/10cm in st st on a US13/9mm needle.
