for Elizaknits 2013
Designer Elizabeth Fallone: "This easy-to-knit cowl will have you spiralling out of control! Due to the unique construction, the colour blocks stack on the bias."
Fallone has used garter stitch and eyelet rows plus easy, no-wrap short rows to create a dramatic long or short cowl knit in the round. Trapezoid's colour blocks stack on the bias. This looks and sounds complicated, but isn't. Just imagine how cheery this would be to put around your neck on a chilly, grey, winter morning.
Trapezoid uses one 100g skein of Shelridge DK (approx. 265 yds, 243m) of the main colour and 1/4 to 1/2 of a skein for each of the other colours depending on whether you choose the shorter or longer version. To make scarf gifts, just one additional skein of the main colour is needed for each.
(We are marvelling at how perfect this would be for all the physicists and engineers and scientists out there-- Ed.)
