9843 Jacket
WEB EXCLUSIVE

And what a jacket! The making is easy to describe: it's knit in one piece to the underarms, then divided for fronts and back, all in plain st st. Sleeves are raglan. But what matters, of course, is the collar. It is very obviously THE design element. It is worked in two pieces, picked up from the fronts from the lower hem to the back neck. Shaping is minimal; a few stitches are increased, but not a lot, and then it's just plain ribbing. If you absolutely have to go out and look great, but would prefer to stay in bed, then this is exactly what to wear. Plus it's super-simple in addition to being cozy.
