82142 Fairisle Yoked Pullover
WEB EXCLUSIVE
Arrr, boys, we've a hearty kind o' sweater for ya here, and real easy to knit, too. For those unfamiliar with this style (sometimes called yoke sweaters), the body and sleeves are each knit in the round, then joined at the underarm into a big tube. The colour pattern is then begun, and the yoke narrows up to the neck with the decreases happening almost invisibly in the colour pattern. It's the first type of sweater many people knit, because knitting in the round is so easy-- and the results look handsome on everyone. We do not consider grafting the underarms 'seaming', so there's no sewing, either. From 2002.
