for Mission Falls 2001
When your separates (trousers, skirt, jacket) are solid shades, a simple-to-knit colourful vest can make a dramatically welcome difference to your overall look. Here Kandis provides a wonderful template within which to be bold or subtle, but always in style. One background colour, one ball each of 9 contrast colours, and the season is yours to command. This piece is worked in intarsia (in pieces, a back and two fronts) from a large chart.
From the Spring 2001 Mission Falls book Simple.
Mission Falls is no longer an active company, and Kandis herself does not provide pattern support. However, our scans are from the designer's own master copies; any errata of which she was aware-- and it's rare to begin with-- would be included in our patterns. If you need pattern support, please return to the LYS where you bought the yarn for the project, or get help from fellow knitters.
'1824' refers to the yarn's gauge: 18 sts, 24 rows to 4"/10cm with 4.5mm/US7 needles, 84 yds/77m to 50g.
Update, September 2013: Kandis has confirmed that in all essential respects, the Cascade Luna appears to have the same characteristics as her original 1824 Cotton.
