Lobed Leaves

In her many explorations of toe-up, make-two-at-once on two circular needles socks, Wardrop has rarely used such a lovely lace stitch pattern (our opinion only). The decided variegation of her chosen yarn here gives one spectacular impression; a semi-solid would give another, subtle and graceful and elegant. The designer does write her work for making two at once, but hastens to reassure: "if this is your first... consider doing just one at a time until you get used to the technique. If you have made socks on circs before, go ahead and cast on using both ends of the yarn skein"-- frugal and clever. From 2008.
