Sideways Ribbed Shrug with Seed Stitch Collar
"This shrug," explains Cleary, "is knit with a soft merino wool in a stockinette pattern topped off with a seed stitch collar. Knit in one piece from cuff to cuff, alternating St st and Rev St st in bands which give good elasticity. The back of the garment goes to the waist for a more flattering look. The seed stitch collar is added after the rectangle is completed and sleeve seams are sewn. The collar is picked up on circular needles and knit in the round. Knit as big a collar as you desire." Written with detailed care, clear and encouraging.

Love my first attempt at this pattern. It is lovely, soft, squishy - well, if you use the right yarn! - easy to follow instructions. I'll certainly be making another. See picture of mine at my blog: http://cathychua.wordpress.com
