Bergere de France

125.86 Three-Quarter Sleeve Jacket and Mittens

There are devotees of the cabled sideways yoke, of course, and there are adherents to the cult of the vertical ribbed yoke too. Leave it to the French, however, to combine these elements so skilfully, so that each seems indispensable without the other. This is a fun, multidirectional knit. Note that tubular cast offs and cast ons have been used in the pictured cardi. For the right sleeve, you "Work as for left sleeve reversing all shapings"-- if you can do that, you're golden. The mittens are extremely simple, a ribbed seamed rectangle.
