for Elizaknits 2013
This dramatic shawl elicits three reactions:
*I want to make this! The patterning and use of colour are so unusual.
*It looks complicated and I don't like doing Fair Isle.
*Five colors? It would take forever to weave in all those ends.
Here are the surprises-
*Only one colour is used on each row.
*There are 2 rows each per color and Mosaic stitch for the border.
*There's no yarn cutting and no yarn weaving... at all. Fallone has devised a method to finish five yarn ends together without cutting or weaving. This process creates the nice edge you see on Flowers. The yarn is fingering weight, so the invention works extremely well.
