James C. Brett

JB075 Sweater

This glorious piece looks like a serious time commitment-- and yes, you could knit something you could finish earlier. But isn't it worth it? With tights, with jeans, with leggings, with ankle or knee boots-- wow. Happily, the back is pure plain st st. And there's waist shaping to stress your curves. And the neckline is cut so well (doubled over and sewn down to the inside); perfect for accessorizing, you can wear it over something else or on its own. Sleeves are raglan, with decreases done one stitch in from the edge. Note that the recommended ease is... effectively nonexistent, but by all means knit a larger size than recommended if it pleases you.
