Ink is the perfect cardigan to slip on when the balmy days of summer transition to the chilly days of autumn. Named for the color of the yarn, it is also a reminder that autumn brings with it the beginning of a new school year. Knitted in fingering yarn and reverse stocking stitch from the collar down, the cables on the garment bring to mind the V’s of birds flying south for the winter.
Ink is knitted in one piece completely seamlessly from the top down. You first start with the collar, then pick up stitches for the body and go down to the bottom.
This cardigan is meant to be oversized with 1” - 2” (2½ cm – 5 cm) of positive ease.
Please note that I knit loosely so you may need different sized needles to obtain gauge.
Also, note that cables end right on the sides for the larger sizes but go beyond the sides to the back on the smaller sizes.
