To our publishers and customers

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 31 May, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

Jill Wright

for Classic Elite Yarns   2013

9223-2 Midday (age 10 up)

"A zippered cardigan with a relaxed fit and contrasting color trim. Roomy pockets are worked with fronts, then folded," says Wright. She stresses the following points: 1) it's worked in rows in three pieces (two fronts and a back) using a circular needle to accommodate the number of stitches; 2) the fronts begin with pocket extensions which are folded up to the RS and sewn in place during finishing; and 3) the sleeves are created by casting on extra stitches at the sides of the fronts and back.

It looks wonderfully cross-cultural to us. It has the spare Japanese aesthetic, and is in fact kimono-shaped; but the playful colour counterpointing is reminiscent of Scandinavia.

Originally published Spring 2013 in Boardwalk 9223, a printed collection of designs.
